Adding tea/coffee is probably what made it too dark imho. You also need to ensure that all of your wood is from the same source. Different woods absorb the vinegar/steel wool stain in different ways - I've seen coffee stir sticks & jumbo popsicle sticks stained together, using the same batch of stain, but they each turned starkly different colours.Joanne Carrollnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1253372810426450868.post-72433430132646613912017-06-27T07:02:57.509-07:002017-06-27T07:02:57.509-07:00Un trabajo estupendo!!!Un trabajo estupendo!!!Isabel Ruizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01237109170061222494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1253372810426450868.post-42925396737493328262017-06-27T06:08:16.155-07:002017-06-27T06:08:16.155-07:00Thx Jodi. Or you can figure out where the edge of your saw lies when the blade it on your cut line and nail in a "rail" scrap piece of wood. Then your saw will run along that rail as a guide and keep your cut straight. I do this for longer cuts. Trust me, I had to keep going back in to even out the window holes. :)Auralea Kriegerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09671603764621667203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1253372810426450868.post-57818426968249819862017-06-26T22:33:47.052-07:002017-06-26T22:33:47.052-07:00Ooooh I really like the effect of the aged wood an...Ooooh I really like the effect of the aged wood and of course the crackled paint on the windows!
