Let's start with floors.

Carpets: Towels are great for shag carpet. Use No Fray on the edges. I have found a ribbon style called Jacquards is great for runners or stair carpet. Finish off the cut ends with matching thin trimmings.

Walls....

I love Martha Stewart's paper! I have just come up with the idea of using ribbon for border wallpaper. We'll see how it works. The smaller the print the better.

I love your ideas here. These are really very creative! I think the word you want to use for some of the finishes is faux instead of pho. It's French for imitation or fake.

Thanks for your compliments George! I will go back in and fix the faux's! Or should I say the "faux pas" that I made.

Great ideas. I have also used kitchen drier mats for carpeting. It's cheap and gives it more of a berger look. You can get free small samples of tile flooring at the home improvement store.Score them to size and they make a great tile floor.
